Ikat

Inspired by the traditional Indian dyeing method, Ikat, these woven fabrics were created on an 8-harness dobby loom. The white warp threads were resist-dyed using rubber bands before being put onto the loom for weaving.  Multiple woven samples, process photos, and an inspiration board are included below.
